What we Believe
This congregation accepts and acknowledges all canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God, and as the sole rule of faith and life; and all the Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as contained in the book of Concord of 1580 (the Apostolic, the Nicene and Athanasian creeds, the Unaltered Augsburg confession; the Apology of the Augsburg Confession; the Smalcald Articles; Luther's Large and Small Catechisms; and the Formula of Concord) as a true and correct exhibition of Christian doctrine, taken from and in full agreement with the Holy Scriptures; and in this congregation no doctrine shall be taught which is at variance with these confessions. According to them, therefore, all doctrinal controversies which may arise in this congregation shall be decided.
